Farm history

She is the eldest of 7 siblings that make up the Rodriguez Ospina family, 3 women and 4 men. Doña Martha is a single mother and head of household, she has a daughter who is a nurse. She is the third generation of coffee growers. Her grandfather started to grow coffee in the region 80 years ago, when he died the land passed to Martha’s parents and then they inherited it to their 7 children who continued with the tradition.

Process

  • Selective Picking: We handpick only the ripest cherries for the highest quality.
  • Floatation: We use a water bath to remove any unripe or defective beans.
  • Manual Sorting: Our skilled team further sorts the beans for consistency.
  • Dry Fermentation (90 hours): Beans are sealed in barrels to develop complex flavors.
  • Sun-Drying (25 days): The beans are carefully dried on covered patios for optimal moisture content.
  • GrainPro Storage: We use airtight GrainPro bags to preserve freshness until roasting.
